Let me guess, you’re reading this post because you’re tired of it.
Tired of executing on the same mediocre campaigns for the same clients that refuse to innovate. Tired of grinding away for years with no upward mobility.
Tired of consistently beating campaign goals and not making a dime more in compensation.
Tired of the same old same old broken processes, frustrated clients, and burned out coworkers.
Every day you wonder why everything is so inefficient and it deeply bothers you.
Yeah, us too.
We’re Daypart.AI and we’re fundamentally changing the way that brands and agencies buy media. All advertising can be performance advertising if done well, and we’ve built the analytics and optimization stack to make that the reality. We’re a group of industry veterans, former VC backed founders, and software engineers that decided enough was enough and we were going our own way.
Daypart is a Performance Media OS which in practice means we collapse the entire media buying stack from agency through publisher. We’re the first and last stop for every brand and agency that needs help executing, measuring, and optimizing campaigns across any media channel and we really mean any channel. From linear tv to CTV, from digital audio to am/fm radio, from programmatic banners to direct mail we do it all. With our proprietary analytics stack we measure it and then we optimize it. With AI we support clients and handle the day to day tasks to turn 10x employees into 200x employees. We’re the future of media buying and we’re just getting started.
In the 2 months that we’ve existed we’ve worked with some of the biggest CPG brands in the world, we’ve increased lift by a double digit % for a 500 million dollar plus brand, and have helped DTC brands, startups, agencies, and everything in between meet and exceed their goals. We’re a small team that has hit hockey stick growth doubling ad spend under management month over month and done so profitably looking for our next contributor to help us continue to execute at the highest possible level.
Who we’re looking for is:
- You’re senior. You’ve been doing programmatic media buying on a major DSP for at least 5+ years. We’re a small team of 5 so training resources are limited. You need to be able to adapt and hit the ground running adding value quickly.
- You’re not too senior. The expectation is to roll up your sleeves and execute at a very high level and a fast pace. This is not a management or executive role, but can become one later.
- You have a deep understanding of the adtech and advertising ecosystem and are always learning more.
- You have a strong background in not just media buying but you’re comfortable with statistics. Being great with excel is table stakes. SQL and/or Python is a major plus.
- You’re willing to “figure it out” and creatively problem solve. You don’t throw up your hands when something is outside your comfort zone. You get it done to achieve client goals. You google things before you ask. You don’t take “it can’t be done” as a valid answer.
- You work well with people. It’s not good enough to simply be good at your job, you need to also be a good person that respects the folks around them. This is table stakes to working at Daypart. We come from a variety of backgrounds, families, countries, and more and pride ourselves on having a workplace where folks can come together to rally around the mission.
- You take your work seriously but not yourself. We work very hard for our clients, but we like to joke around internally. There is no room for egos here or folks that take themselves too seriously.
- You have a chip on your shoulder. You’re ready to prove something to folks that have overlooked you in the past. To that end we’re not big on credentialism here. It only matters how well you do the work.
- You can clearly and effectively communicate with both our internal team and also clients with the written word. We have a “as few meetings as possible” culture and the primary communication medium is slack.
- You have high agency. You act independently but also know when to ask questions on things that are important intuitively because you’ve been there done that.
- You have a high degree of integrity. The fastest way to get fired is to lie or hide an inconvenient outcome or ops miss. We have a 0 tolerance for lying. We can’t win if we’re not on the same page telling the truth to one another and clients even when it stings.
- You have strong opinions loosely held. You feel passionately about what you know to be true until proven factually wrong when you quickly adapt and grow.
- Must be able to work US eastern time zone. You don’t have to live in the US but you have to be able to work those hours.
- Strong preference given to former founders of companies or freelancers. Especially founders of VC back companies.
